Before everything, I would like to thank Ate Ana L. P. for donating $10.00 for Kassandra’s hearing aid. This is a great help already. Actually she’s the first one to donate. And I am glad for giving me strength to do everything for this campaign. I love you Ate Ana. Thanks for the Advises.

Like other children, Kassandra Ghiege Arreza Ocanada is need of financial assistance. Kassandra is my daughter whose age is 1 year and 2 months now. She was born in November 7, 2009. When she was still 3 months old, I notice that she don’t react to loud sounds outside our house but I just ignored it because I thought maybe because she is still 3 months old. But when she reaches 6 months, the reaction never changes. She don’t care about any sounds, even if we called her name, she don’t look at us. That’s the time I am confused. I asked some of our neighborhoods but she’s just really different. So i decided to go the Doctor for a check-up. The Doctor made a simple test for her. He shakes the keys near the back of her ear but there’s no reaction. Then the doctor called her name… still no reaction. The doctor said that there are hard earwax in her ear so she told me to put a baby oil 3 drops for the right and 3 drops for the left ear every morning and before she sleeps at night for 1 week then we go back to him. I did everything. The day we went back to the Doctor, he cleaned her ears. And it was cleaned. Her hard earwax was out but still she can’t hear. The doctor referred us to OEA. It was some kind of a test that she enter on a round room with noises and the result of the test is that her left and right ears are positive of deafness. Then we go back to her Doctor and referred us again to a hearing specialist for ABR testing. Is is a testing where my daughter have to sleep and put some paraphernalia around her head. Just like on these photos shown below.
On January first week, the result of the ABR test arrived. She was diagnosed to have a “moderate” deafness. She can’t hear people talkings and even loud voices but the beep of a track and very very loud noises, she can hear. She needs 1 pair of hearing aid worth 106,000.00 pesos per pair.
I am only a freelancer, blogger that have a monthly of 4,000 – 5,000 pesos a month which is just enough for our daily needs, milk and diapers for Kassandra and her little sister. My hubby’s job is a laborer on a department of education. They are the one who distributes the school supplies to all the public schools in Cebu. He only have 230.00 pesos per day which is just enough to pay the bills and our 1 sack rice for the month. He is the breadwinner of his family so the total of his wage will be divided for his mom and me. It is really difficult for me to buy even one piece of her hearing aid. And because of this, I am begging to those who have a BIG heart to please help us to buy a pair of hearing aid for her.
This is really sad because Kassandra is a happy child, she likes to laugh, play and she is willing to learn things. She is intelligent. I know, because she can adopt easily just like dancing, she can easily copy actions but she can’t talk because she doesn’t hear anything. If only I could transfer her deafness to mine, I would surely do. But it can’t be possible so I just have to pray that Kassandra will be given a chance to hear so that she will learn to talk.
To those who want to donate, here are some of the information. Any amount will do to help Kassandra. It will be highly appreciated. Thank you for the time reading this.

Hello
I would like to mail a letter from New York to a friend in Oregon. Does anyone know how many 42 cent stamps would it take for it to get there?
Please and Thank You!
