Colon Cancer

Colon Cancer

The colon is the last portion of the digestive system in most vertebrates; it extracts water and salt from solid wastes before they are eliminated from the body.

The colon consists of four sections: the ascending colon, the transverse colon, the descending colon, and the sigmoid colon. The colon from cecum to the splenic flexure (the junction between the transverse and descending colon) is also known as the right colon. The remainder is known as the left colon.

Recently this year, our former President Corazon Aquino passed away because of colon cancer. It is said that colon cancer ranks 6th overall, 5th among males and 7th among females. An estimated 2,963 new cases, 1,548 in males 1,415 in females, together with 1,567 deaths will be seen in 1998. Colon cancer increases markedly after age 50.

I’ve already read in the newspapers, websites articles and health articles that early colon cancer is curable. But, early colon cancer is symptomatic, and there is still no efficient screening method for early detection. By the help of our technology, barium enema or colonoscopy, 50 years old and above symptomatic patients who complain of changes in bowels habits, vague abdominal pains, and unexplained weight loss and anemia.

The mistaken obsession of our physician with amoebiasis and other forms of inflammatory bowel disease had for decades been a major factor that had delayed diagnosis of colon cancer. The wider availability of antidiarrheals, antibiotics and amoebecides may have worsened the situation. Too many physicians still insist in giving vitamin preparations and hematinics for chronic unexplained weight loss and anemia without carefully looking for the cause.

I am not very sure if there are available colon cleanser here in the Philippines but in the world of web, yes. I’ve read the colon cleanse reviews about best colon cleanser that helps you, ofcourse, to clean your colon and how to prevent having a colon problems.

5-Month-Old Baby Brianna – Raped, Killed and Abused by Her Own Family

The title is too long and horrific, sorry for that!

Baby Brianna

When I visited Meryl’s Blog, I saw one of her post that shocked me. A baby was rape and killed by her own family. After I read her blog, I got the interest to read more in other sites about what really happed to the baby. This is the worst ever child abuse and crime I’ ve ever read. I could almost burst out to anger to her criminal family.

Brianna Lopez, a 5 months old baby. According to what I’ve read in few articles, she was rape and abused by her father (Andy Walters, 21) and Uncle (Steven Lopez, 19).  July 18th 2002, Thursday night, Andy Walters, Stephanie Lopez and her twin brother Steven Lopez, drink through the evening. After 3 beers, Stephanie got drunk and fell asleep while the two guys were playing on the baby, throwing up on the ceiling 3 times and let her slam on the ground twice. At three in the morning, Walters says he awoke to find Brianna on the floor near the bed. He said he wrapped her in a blanket and put her in a bouncer. By 7 a.m., Brianna needed a diaper change. Stephanie Lopez asked about the bruises on Brianna, and according to court documents, Walters admitted that he and Steven Lopez “played a little rough with her”.
Walters changed the diaper and took a baby wipe, wrapped it around his index finger and inserted it into brianna’s anus.
The complaint also states Andy Walters admitted he bit Brianna on several occasions, but he told Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Deputies he is not not the only family member to bite Brianna.
Walters also told authorites that Stephanie Lopez pinched and threw Brianna out of frustration.
The uncle, Steven Lopez, admits to throwing Brianna in the air and not catching her. Steven Lopez claims to have drunk ten beers the previous night.
During his interview with Sheriff’s Deputies, Steven Lopez admitted to having sex with Brianna Lopez. Adding that he, as well as Andy Walters, had penetrated Brianna on several different occasions.
By 10 a.m., July 19th, Stephanie Lopez checks on her daughter, notices Brianna is not breathing, and she calls 9-1-1.
11:10 am, Friday July 19th, five month old Brianna Lopez dies at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Autopsy results show Brianna Lopez had 11 bite marks on her body, broken ribs, skull fractures, bleeding of the optic nerves and brain swelling.

They each are charged with child abuse resulting in death. Walters also was charged with criminal sexual penetration of the baby.
Deputies have now interviewed the six adults and two children who lived in the home with Brianna. Miranda said the family is being cooperative.
The autopsy revealed a long list of injuries that appeared to have been inflicted over an extended period of time upon the little girl who was born on Valentines Day.
On Monday, Miranda detailed the multiple injuries found on the babys body. He said Brianna had 11 human bite marks in varied stages of healing, multiple bruises, fractures to two right ribs, three skull fractures, swelling of the brain and signs of shaken baby syndrome. Brianna also had fractures to both legs, an injury experts say is commonly caused by picking up the child with a quick, jerking motion by the legs.

Investigators will obtain dental impressions to determine who made the bite marks.
In court records, Walters admitted to biting Brianna, but said he “did not take a chunk out of her.” Walters said his 18-month-old son also bit the baby. He said that Stephanie Lopez also bit and pinched her when she became frustrated with Brianna.

On the video, I’ve seen and heard that the 3 criminals will be prison for 18 years! What the…. Can you imagine that? Here in the Philippines, if you admitted a rape case to minor, you will be imprisoned for a lifetime. But in New Mexico, I can’t believe the life of a child cost only 18 months of imprisonment. I don’t think it is righteous.

Confidence

Confidence

In my younger years back, I am always afraid to perform activities like singing, dancing, declaimation in school even in my mind, is very easy to do. I thought that someone else is better than me and I am afraid to lose. I envy those who win and to those who did not but still happy with their performance. I don’t know if I was sick or something that I can’t understand myself why I’m being so coward those days. I don’t know if I was just young or I am just really a coward brat!

But since the years past, a lot of challenges stand on my way I tried and fall, stand and try to win the game of life, until I learn to know the word “courage”. And then I have courage. Courage to not look behind when you are in the tough situation. Now I realize… when you have courage, confidence is the next. You can’t have a confidence if you are coward.  So, despite everything the bad experiences I had, I am still thankful that I learned so much in life and learn to move on and become confident in everything I do.

I want to share this great quotaion I read by Norman Vicente Peale, “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy

One thing also, If you don’t accept who you are, then you can’t have confidence. Just like when you have problems in your physical appearance, when you are fat or you have lots of pimples on your face, you are afraid to face the world because of that.

I’ve known one girl that is very depressed because of her fats, she got it after her pregnancy. Now that she has a baby, she can’t still get rid of it that is why I helped her. I gave her an advice and told her to use apatrim. What I like in this fat burning medicine is, you don’t need to exercise or diet your food when taking this. Unique, right? But I am not telling you to not exercise because exercise is still best in your healthy lifestyle.

Susan Broyle-Britain’s Got Talent 2009

Susan Broyle-Britain’s Got Talent 2009

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I’ve heard a lot of positive reactions about Susan Broyle and I’ve already seen her videos in youtube many time but this is my first time to write an article about her.

Actually, this is just a personal review about her, a comment about her voice and the reactions of the viewers who actually saw her in Britain Talent 2009.

Honestly, when I first saw here in the video, physically, I can say that she is not very attractive and I am same as the others who reacted negatively the way she answered the interview. But when I heard her voice, it’s so stunning that you can’t believe she can sing that well. I can’t actually believe that a 40+ year old woman can have a voice like a teenager… not only a teenager but an angelic voice teenager.

And this is all that I can say to her. Karapat-dapat talaga syang iclap-clap :D

Getting Rid of Disgusting Blackheads

Getting Rid of Disgusting Blackheads

Blackheads, often known as open comedones, blackheads are formed from follicles with wider openings than normal. They are filled with sebum as well as dead skin cells. However, the difference between these stores of sebum and dead skin cells is that they have undergone melanin oxidation, resulting in a black color. People with oily skin and combination skin are more susceptible to blackheads than others. The good news is that blackheads are possible to treat and cure. A type of acne vulgaris, blackheads are best treated by removing the causes: getting rid of sebum and dead skin cells from the pores of your skin.

Nowadays, there are many pills and ointments to treat blackheads. But we are not sure if it is safe or not. That is why to make sure, we have to visit google to check the reviews of the products we are about to use. The plentier the positive reviews, the better to choose of purchasing that product.

When I was still in my early teen years, my late auntie told  me that todays products to treat of blackheads and other skin disease are dangerous. So better in the old ways. For me, washing my face with clean water and mild soap is still the best treatment for a healthy skin.
